There are three seasons : Schemu, the spring, from April 26 th to August 23 rd, time of harvests. Akhet, the autumn, from August 29 th to December 26 th, time of inundations. Peret, the wintern from December 27 th to April 25 th, time of sowing. There are 5 days which doesn’t belong to no season. These five days refer to Egyptian mythology, that’s why they bear each one the name of gods : Osiris, Horus, Seth, Isis and Nephtys.
